Albany Synod Welcome Home Baskets Collection For Homeowners Affected By The Floods
The Mission Working Group of Albany Synod is eager to join others in responding to a request from flood -affected areas for baskets for returning homeowners. Suggested items for the baskets were given to us, so you can mix and match as you see fit. The Prattsville area is already covered, so baskets will go to Schoharie and Schenectady Recoveries with the first baskets going to our Reformed Church congregations, Middleburgh, Schoharie, and Woestina.

Middleburgh Recovery
Middleburgh Church and Community Needs:
Middleburgh Fellowship Hall and Church Building
The congregation is in the Fellowship Hall for worship services! Thanks to all who worked so hard and to those who gave so generously to the nursery and community food pantry. In a two-week period the pantry served as many people as they had all of last summer. Work in the sanctuary has begun! No volunteers are needed at this time.

Prattsville Recovery
Prattsville Parsonage and Town Work
Parsonage:
Greg and Becky Town are moving into the parsonage this week and next. They need strong backs to load and unload the moving trailer and volunteers to do light and heavy cleaning-mopping, sweeping, dusting, window washing, general cleaning etc. If you have some time, email Greg at gnbtown@gmail.com
Summer Work Groups in Prattsville
Bruce and Laurie Hawley are in residence at Huntersfield Christian Training Center, April 14-June 16. The week of May 26-June 2 is blocked off. If you’d like to help Bruce and Laurie for a day or two, email them at brucelaurie@juno.com or call them on Laurie’s cell at 304-839-1809.
We extend our sympathies to Laurie and her family on the unexpected death of her father, Jesse M. Corum III, on Tuesday, April 17, in Vero Beach, Florida. A memorial service in celebration of his life was held Saturday, April 21.

Rotterdam Junction Recovery
Schenectady County Recovery-Rotterdam Junction, Stockade….
Skilled and unskilled labor is needed. Opportunities include office greeter and administrator, homecoming cleaning, donation deliveries, general construction, cost assessment, plumbing, electrical work, accounting, painters etc. Saturday lunches are needed and spring is the perfect time for outside cleanup and landscaping.

Schoharie Recovery
Schoharie Recovery and Schoharie Reformed Church Buildings
Work continues at the church Heritage House. The floors are all done!
Meals for the community, staff and volunteers are needed daily at the Loaves and Fishes Café. From November 7-February 27, 6863 meals were served. The guess is that from September on, over 15,000 meals were served with your help.
Volunteer work in the greater Schoharie area abounds. Skilled and unskilled labor is needed. Work varies from hanging wallboard and sheetrock, and insulating to mucking out basements, demo work, and filling dumpsters.
