SMB Grants Available
for Specialized Transition Ministry Training
The Albany Synod Ministries Board provides $1,000 grants to gifted and qualified Ministers of Word and Sacrament who
wish to increase their skills for ministry by being trained as a Specialized Transition Minister (STM)
are members of one of the classes in the Regional Synod of Albany
STM training (formerly called Interim Training) is strongly recommended for clergy serving under short-term contracts in congregations that are seeking a new called pastor. However, it is a useful training for ministers serving in many contexts. Transition is commonly experienced in many congregations, even those being served by installed pastors.
