Churches Learning Change is just that, a coalition of church leaders learning
together how to navigate being church in a changed and ever changing culture.
This work may be done with frustration and exasperation (i.e. who made this mess? or, I suck, I'm such a mess!) or it can be done more slowly, carefully, intentionally, and with love and compassion.
Picking up the pieces, with courage and love. And, we're not putting the pieces back the way they were before--they've been transformed by their experiences, and now will contribute to something new.

Join the Albany Synod Mediation Team for a fun, helpful workshop to strengthen your healthy communications skills!

Why is communication in congregations sometimes so challenging? How can we best “speak the truth in love”? Are you really hearing me? Am I really understanding you?
Church leaders, pastors, and church members are invited to attend this workshop for helpful and thought-provoking information and discussion about dealing with differences of opinion and conflict. Also included will be opportunities to practice communication skills for use at home, at work and at church for managing challenging conversations in healthier ways.
Join us for a one-evening training zoom event, an opportunity for elders and deacons to worship, learn and reflect together on how to better serve Christ and the church through their offices.
