The Synod Administrative Assistant will be responsible to assist in the Synod Operations and Administrative functions of the Regional Synod of Albany. This position will be 15-20 hours per week Tuesday-Thursday along with Synod Programs and Activities.

The part-time Church Manager will oversee the operational responsibilities of the Church, Human Resources and Office/Operations Management as well as other duties as assigned. The part-time Church Manager will be hired on a 13-month trial basis for an average of 20 hours a week. 

The Manager will report to the Pastor and the Consistory.


They will oversee key church areas mentioned above, currently on the Pastor’s plate, freeing up the Pastor for other important pastoral care and ministry activities. Specifically, they will work with Consistory and the Pastor to oversee Human Resource Management, Office/Operations Management, and other duties as delegated by the Consistory and Pastor.

Trinity Reformed Church - Part-time Church Secretary

Small and active church in the Brighton/Penfield, N.Y. area seeks an organized, experienced person to serve on a permanent part-time basis, and be able to start as soon as possible. The position is 12-16 weekday hours weekly from September-June, and 9 weekday hours weekly during July-August, with some flexibility. This individual will serve as secretary, manager of office operations, and receptionist. Primary responsibilities include production of the weekly bulletin and monthly newsletter, answering emails and phone calls, secretarial assistance for the Pastor, and managing office operations including interacting with congregants. 


Minimum requirements are a High School diploma or GED; two years of office management or operations experience; a firm knowledge of Word and Microsoft Word Publisher; and ability to use social media outlets. This position also requires someone who is personable and able to interact with people of all age groups.


$15.00 per hour

Ghent Reformed Church- Part time Pastor

We are seeking a spiritual leader to the members of our congregation at the Ghent Reformed Church located in Ghent, New York.
We are looking for a 3/4 time, shared or bi-vocational pastor.  The position will consist of at least 29 hours per week. The Ghent Reformed Church does have a parsonage to be included in lieu of housing costs.

Education Requirements: Seminary Educated in The Reformed Church Tradition
Preaching and Teaching: Primary Preacher for worship, Administering sacraments, Baptisms, Communion, Active in Sunday School
Strategic Leadership and Planning: Monitor spiritual growth of the congregation, Ensuring Sunday School Program is effectively educating the children
Administration: Oversee pastoral needs of the congregation and when necessary provide: Counseling, Home visits, Hospital, Nursing home and Adult home visits, Perform weddings, Perform funerals/memorial service, Supervise office manager and any other staff of the church, Oversee development and adherence to church policies and procedures, Prepare and lead consistory meetings once a month
